What?
Consulting organisations on Domestic Abuse. Using my own story on navigating systems that can hinder progression and re traumatise victims and survivors.
consulting on behaviour change and empowerment for young people who are showing harmful behaviours after experiencing abuse.
Empowering women who are ready to step into their personal power. To seek and explore opportunities to thrive and succeed on your own terms. Through motivational interviewing and person centred mentoring.
Retreats for women who have experienced abuse. Self care is vital to healing, space to do that in a safe and holistic way to do that is not always possible. Envisage empowerment will put you at the centre of your healing journey. You are the leader in all of these spaces!
Public speaking and activism. Using my survivor voice and the voices of those I have supported to discuss the problems and uses face every day by survivors and the systems making it difficult to move forward.
Why?
There are statistics everywhere, but that doesn’t mean much when you are one…. You don’t want to be a statistic. Don’t want to be lost in a crowd. What you have experienced is never minimised but looking at trends can sometimes make us feel like we didn’t experience it in a way that warrants support, when so many have had horrid experiences.
However, your story is important and you deserve support to move through the trauma. At a pace that works for you. By embodying your own path and the world around you. How to navigate pain and move into your personal power.
Domestic abuse affects so many and not only does it affect the people who are abused or abusing, it affects the people around them, namely children and young people who live within that household or around that household.
And so it is vital that we use our voices when we're in spaces to do so to be able to raise the profile to talk about what works to talk about survivors and use survivor voices in order to achieve that.
